  • Ah... 20 1/2 hours on the road, and 1100 miles later, I can say that day 1 was a success!  Here's my trip pic. of the day from Saturday...

That's Caleb at Chick-Fil-A "play-d-place" #1... and in case you're wondering, we did stop at more than one Chick-Fil-A yesterday.  Give me a break... it was one of the best things about Georgia... good memories!
There's lots to do yet today, as it's just begun, but the quote of the morning, from Seth, is, "those are the biggest palm trees I've ever seen"... and from Grace, "Florida makes the biggest palm trees"...  They've never seen palm trees before, so it's funny...
I almost had a great pic. of a lizzard, but Caleb bumped the camera... bummer.  The lizzard sighting was also the end of our outside time, this morning, as it scared Grace more than an alligator would have... hehehe... such a girl...
Well... may not have Internet access for a couple of days, but I'll be posting as I can...

  • Another great basketball quote, today, from Seth, "Big Ben Wallace is gonna show us how his free throws are good and almost in the basket when he misses them."
Well, just a few more hours now, and off we'll go...
Check back here (and on the website) for posts and pics. throughout our vacation!

    BAS-KET-BALL!!!
    Funny thoughts of the day...
Seth thinks I know Ben Wallace personally and wanted me to call him this afternoon to find out when the Pistons practice... I can only wish...
Seth and Grace both either thought the Cavs. would win or hoped they would... which goes to prove that everything you try to teach four and five year olds has the potential to go in one ear and out the other...
I hope my kids grow up to be just like Lebron... ahem... especially the part where he left for the locker room without even congratulating the Pistons... now that's some kind of role model...
    MO-TOWN ROCKS!!!

Quote of the day, from Grace: "I'm really getting thirsty for some hot, fresh squeezed, lemonade."

Well... shall I put it in the microwave?  hehehe...
Ahhh... Here comes the weekend... which, of course, promises to be busier than the week was...

Quote of the day, "I have a black light tatoo... Do you wanna see it?"
Clearly, I said, "yes"...  And although I highly doubt I'll ever have a tatoo, if I were to get one, that'd definately be the way to go...

P.S. A close second to the quote of the day, "Were you born in the 60s?" ... uh... no... actually I only missed the 80s by a little less than four months... but thanks for asking... guess it's time to color the hair again...

Quote of the day by Seth: "Well, I do know that Mommy ate my pizza like an alligator!"
OK... so it's not one of my customs to take food out of my children's mouths... well... except under certain circumstances... but tonight was NOT one of those circumstances.  We were just enjoying our pizza when I realized that Seth was down to the crust... and he doesn't like crust.  So, since I was still a little bit hungry I asked him if he was going to eat his crust, he said no, and I proceeded to eat it, realizing that he'd left a bit of sauce and cheese... bonus...
Well, apparently, he was going to eat that little bit of sauce and cheese, and I effectively ruined his dinner by chomping his pizza down like an alligator... oops...
And now, I'll go, because I need to have some special "girl time" with the child who ate her own crust tonight... even though she usually doesn't... guess she didn't want to see me transformed into an alligator again...

Quote of the day, from Grace to Phil, "You're the silliest Dad I've ever had!"
As opposed to who... I'm wondering...
It's been an awesome Mother's Day... complete with breakfast in bed, flowers from everybody, an incredible Reese's candy bar (which reminds me... I have to go to their site to try to get a free T-shirt, so I'll make this short), and my very own personal wake up call from CSX (see Phil's blog for details).

Lisa! Yes, this summer will be a lot different than the school year. First of all, no more classes!!! I will be working in a summer camps clinic. There are at least a thousand kids at each camp so I will be extremely busy. I am also going to be a summer counslor at the camp which I will be doing for a week. I do not know everything that is involved in a summer at Teen Mania but I will continue to work for the ministry. Also, I am going on a mission trip to Panama :) which is going to be totally amazing!!! I am really excited and blessed. You should e-mail me your state and address. Also, I am staying here at the Honor Academy a second year. I went through an interview process and they picked me to stay. :) Next year I can go to ATF's and maybe if there is one in your state I can see you there and I may be able to get you guys some free tickets. (possibly) because of your circumstances. Just e-mail me and we can work something out. I am going home on Friday. Flying- Angela got me roundtrip tickets for $77. It pays off to work in the airplane business. I am really excited to see everyone and chill! I'm having a bakesale also to raise funds for my internship and for my mission trip. Well, I must peace out! Give the kids kisses for me and tell Phil I say hi!

I am losing my touch...
SB's tonite... only 8 slices of pizza (and not all the crust) and 2 breadsticks.  One of these days we're going to have a pizza eating contest, and I am going to down at least 2 whole pizzas...  Actually, if it was a competition I could probably keep putting it away for a good long time.  I don't like to lose...
Speaking of "bragging rights"...  Here's my most recent tetris high score, as promised.  On April 28th I scored 429,015.  That included 27 tetrises, which I thought was pretty good.  Anybody ever top 500,000?  That's my goal right now...  I know...  I know...  lofty life goals, huh?

You may not like to lose, but you did with your pathetic effort on Thursday. I could've doubled you up if I had wanted to. That's OK, I'm like more than 100,000 points behind you in Tetris. So I'm pathetic too. Oh the life of an unchurched pastor! :) I need to DO something about this!
